TRIP TO the UK, part I: arrival and Brighton

Hello sweethearts!

I am writing this post still under a great impression of everything that I saw and experienced in the UK. This will be my first out of four posts about my adventure in the United Kingdom. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

I booked my ticket in May so my summer was long and filled with anticipation.
It was my first time flying so I was quite nervous. Flight from Budapest to Gatwick London was terrible but I forgot everything when I saw my friend Eniko waiting for me with bouquet of sunflowers and a beautiful wide smile.

I arrived to London on Aug 23rd. I planned to go back home on Aug 30th so I carried only a small cabin bag with basics and one dress for each day. I was counting that I will return home with a lot more stuff than I came. I traveled in my Voodoo Vixen Kitty dress, it is so comfortable and has pockets so my most valuable things were with me all the time. After a delicious dinner we planned my first day in the UK.

Next day we took a double-deck bus from Eastbourne to Brighton. The weather was hot and sunny. I was mesmerized by the wonderful natural playgrounds of countryside and coastline!

My hosts Eniko and Andras planned a great day! We started our tour by visiting one of our favorite shops, the Collectif Clothing:

Their summer sale is amazing, so much bargains! I got myself a Monica Gingham Pencil dress in mint for only 17 GBP!

We took a peek into Irregular Choice store too:

I liked Brighton a lot! It is so colorful and alive! We explored the most beautiful little streets with magnificent houses. I loved the flowers, colorful flags and old facades.

Of yes, most of the time I had my phone in my hands, trying to catch every corner of the city with my camera, how vintage right? ;)

Exploring the numerous small shops I got two more bargains

- green Voodoo Vixen Katniss dress (that I wanted since like forever) for only 15 GBP, it had a broken zip that I fixed as soon as I got home and now it is perfect:

- Mistress of Vintage Potty Lotty yellow dress for only 25 GBP (75 GBP online!). I wasn't sure about it until I put it on and it was oh so perfect that I decided to wear it at Twinwood Festival 3 days later:

I feel in love with every shop, every house, every street musician and little coffee shop. It was exciting to see all of those smiling faces and various cultures on the street...

Indispensable part of our Brighton one day excursion was the JB's American diner:

We were delighted by the interior, it is really impressive! A dream for every lover of 50's American culture. After delicious milkshake I was ready to put on some saddle shoes and go to the drive-in!

For the end of the day, after a lot of walking, we decided to relax on Brighton Pier:

And when I'm happy I act childishly hahaha

It was the perfect way to end the day! I loved the amusement park and relaxedness of colorful crowd around me.

It is difficult in another language to describe the feelings that I have been inundated that day.

When I was planning this trip, honestly I expected six days of bad weather and bad mood uncultured people...boy was I wrong!

Second part of my UK trip- London coming up next!

Love, Eleanor

Summer in Allure

Hello sweethearts!

This is my last blog post before my trip to UK and I have a treat for you! There is still some summer left and why not spend it in your best head-turning dress? I suggest Miss Fortune UK Allure collection of Hawaiian inspired sarong dresses, they fit every size and shape and are perfect for a summer coctail evenings.

Miss Fortune is a UK brand of 1950's inspired style dresses, tops, skirts, trousers  and knitwear designed and made with love in the United Kingdom since 2005! I find their gorgeous vintage inspired but modern fit clothes a must for every pin up gal.

I wear Miss Fortune Allure dress in lobster print that features bright red base with a contrast white lobsters, real treat for a novelty print lovers such as myself. Bamboo style buckle is a beautiful detail that emphasizes the tiki summer vibe and complements the essential bamboo jewellry and accessories.

This style is available in few other prints like novelty kiwi fruit, Hawaiian sunset and Hawaiian Islands. All dresses are excellent quality, made out of soft and light cotton great for hot summer. They dont stretch so make sure to get the right size. My dress is size M and it is true to size chart so it fits perfectly!

Seemingly simple, Allure lobster dress next to the lovely print, features an elegant mock wrap and zip on the back. Halter neck strap is really flattering because it is placed just below the curve of the bust so it skims over the armpit area comfortably and emphasizes sweetheart neckline. And because the halter tie straps that bind behind the neck are wider they sit nice and comfortable.

Daisy Jean's sparkly tear drop

Hello sweethearts!

I, like every other girl, loooove accessories! My favorites are bracelets, brooches and earrings and I feel that no outfit is complete without them, at least when we talk about vintage (reproduction).
In the sea of gorgeous jewellery I somehow neglected earrings although I wear them every day (ops!), I just got too comfortable wearing ordinary pearls in various colors. Luckily Daisy Jean Floral Designs saved me and sent me this lovely Heather's Big Resin Tear Drop earrings!

You may know this amazing Australian-based company by its hair flowers but this resin jewellery range is taking Daisy Jean Floral Designs to the stars! Owned by Miss Osiria Rose, Daisy Jean Floral Designs started at 2014 as a small online store on etsy with only a few select hair flowers.
With motto:“"Making beautiful flowers for beautiful women", this company is proud to support ALL women, both customer and other small business owners as well as using their pieces to encourage personal positivity and self-appreciation within customers through creating gorgeous hand crafted pieces to help them feel and look their best.“

Made in Australia from high grade resin, these earrings come with a stainless steel earring post or a clip on and are made to order piece with a 3 day make time. Heather's Big Resin Tear Drop earrings are available in many colours like: glitter emerald green, bright blue, gold, minty green, red, black, pink or peach like mine. And if you feel adventurous you can order them in a blending of two glitter colours! Other than tear drop shape, resin earrings by Daisy Jean Floral Designs is available in various shapes, sizes and colors.

Resin is a plastic so these earrings are light in weight and the yummy colors resemble the look of seaglass! Although these are plastic, be careful not to drop them on hard surfaces- they may chip on impact. Other than that, they are durable and will go with just about any outfit you wear!

Measuring 4.5cm x 2cm Heather's Big Resin Tear Drop earrings are a true statement piece!

I will send you a postcard ♥

Hello sweethearts!

August 23 is approaching, if you don't know already, I'm going to UK for a couple of days to visit my dear friend Eniko (visit her blog HERE). So! I'm slowly thinking about the outfits and really enjoying just planning and matching dresses with shoes and accessories. The highlight of my trip will definitely be Twinwood Festival so apparel for that day must be perfect- and I think I found it!

Black postcard dress by Love Ur Look Clothing & Vintage is beautiful, unique and comfortable! Excellent for a day full of dancing and thrifting. This dress is part of new SS2016 Love Ur Look Clothing & Vintage collection by designer and founder Ronke Fashola. Three quirky style themes which make the collection: 1940S Picnic , Mexicana Magic and Fifties Fun are imbued with, now well recognizable, Love Ur Look Clothing feminine, flattering, unique, ethical and affordable style. Collection is ethically made in the UK and India, using upcycled fabrics and trims so buying from Love Ur Look Clothing you support wonderful women and animals (Ronke donates profits to animal hospital in India)! Now that is amazing if you ask me!

Black postcard dress features short sleeves, pockets and matching fabric belt. It is made out of 100% soft cotton with a fun vintage postcards print on a black base. The pop of orange and pink flowers lifts the whole dress and gives plenty of ways to accessorise. I love the peach buttons up the front of a bodice section- buttons are real so they come in handy because this dress utilizes a side zip which means that you don't have to pull it over your head if you styled your hair first (like I often do), you can just hop into the dress.

Ronke’s focus on  fun key points of design is evident in a few inches of pink tulle at the bottom of lining to give skirt a petticoat effect. A-line skirt falls just below my knees and has a great shape with and without a petticoat.

I adore shirt style dresses so I was immediately drawn to this dress because of her cute and unexpected collar design and spacious pockets. Self-tie belt fits any waist size and Love Ur Look Clothing  comes in sizes XS-XXL1. I'm wearing a size M (UK12) which fits perfectly, even the capped sleeves are nice and wide (for reference my measurements are about 36" bust and 26" waist).

So if you love vintage inspired quality clothing that emphasises the best female features, flirty prints and edgy styles look no more!
Oh, and if you see me at Twinwood Festival roaming around in this gorgeous number make sure to say Hi! ;)

Hang Loose

Hello sweethearts!

First let me thank you all for 10 000+ views and so many nice comments on my last post, you really warmed my heart ♥♥
Today I am taking you back to 2014. and one of my first and favorite photo shoots by Berton photography.

Two years back I was a "baby pin up" when it all started; festivals, photo shootings, blogging, collaborations,...  Before that I was rockabilly gal in love with vintage and pin up, daily practicing my victory rolls. Rebel fest 2014. was my first experience as a pin up model and I will always remember that! I met wonderful people, including Berton couple who were photographers on festival and we immediately clicked. One week later I was invited to their home and then  these photographs were taken.

Rockabilly community in Croatia is small but strong, especially in some cities such as Vinkovci. Home to a local oldtimer club, rock'n'roll and many bikers who gather around in Hang Loose bar owned by Ana and Matija.

Considering this was my second time shooting with Berton photography we had a lot of fun, it was very relaxed and spontaneous, so we made up a little story. Volkswagen Beetle in the photos belongs to Ana and we thought it would be great to use it for a photo shoot!

I was a "lady in distress" when "my car brooke down" so Ana's boyfriend Matija "helped" me. Ultimately we took some nice rockabilly couple and also feuding couple photos hahaha it was so much fun and an experience that I will remember as long as I'm alive.

I was wearing a Hearts & Roses dress and Pin Up Couture shoes.

Thank you again Ana and Matija for your kindness and help ♥♥
And thank you Studio Berton for this amazing photos ♥♥
