Hello sweethearts!
Whether your style is vintage, pin up, chic, glam, punk, goth, romantic, you name it, Im sure you have at least one little black dress in your wardrobe! And since it is impossible to have too many LBD I have added one more to my closet: Striped Retro High Low Swing Dress by Dressific.
Thiss dress gave me instant Dita Von Tesse feeling! Although I am not a huge Dita fan I did gasp from time to time on her fashion choices and her Zac Posen black dress from Von Follies launch at Bloomingdales was a dream! This Dressific dress made me think of her as soon as I saw it.
Striped Retro High Low Swing Dress is made out of Polyester organza so it is very light and holds a magnificent shape. Black lining envelops the body while fluttery skirt with one hidden pocket gently falls in waves. Skirt lenght is right above my knees from the front (I am 170cm/ 5.5 tall) but in the back descends quite below.
Elegant modified V neck and cap sleeves are perfect for those who like Audrey Hepburn style dresses so this dress perfectly combines modern and classic! It holds a side zipper so it does not interfere with natural waist which I emphasized with a thick belt (not part of the dress!).
Dressific is a proudly 100% Australian owned business, with fulfillment centers located in both Australia and China. Owned by Elena Sheen who decided to marry the best of vintage and modern day fashion, Dressific's majority of special occasion dresses can be made to measure for FREE.
A great variety of dresses that Dressific offers guarantees that you will find something for wedding, prom, evening, formal or casual in 30s to 60s style dresses.

Enchanted forest
Hello sweethearts!
The weather is beautiful, sun is shining and there is no better way than to spend a day in nature! I'm taking you to the forest where sun gently pierces trough the branches of old oaks.
Wonderful way to celebrate nature and new collaboration with one of my favorite brands Dolly & Dotty!
Delighted with my last Dolly & Dotty dress (review here) I became a huge fan of this UK brand! They have a lot of dresses that I would love to wear not only because they are pretty but also very high quality and excellent way of making them to fit! May dress was one of my favorites as soon as I saw her so imagine my happiness when it arrived!
May Stylish V-neck Vintage Inspired Swing Dress comes in a variety of colours, prints and sizes from UK 8 to 24! I was drawn by flattering V-neck wrap style bust, pretty full circle skirt and fitted waistband. My dress is a size UK12 (M) and it is true to their size chart, it also has a little strech.
Although V-neck wrap style bust may seem a little too open it is actually modest and prefect for office or Sunday walk. Dress is made out of 95% cotton and 5% elastane which gives her that special softness and lightness that Dolly & Dotty dresses have. I adore that fabric!
May is perfect lightweight piece for summer, like a summer breeze :) Dress has a swing skirt, but it's not a full circle. It can still fit a slim petticoat and it gives her a nice shape. It is fully lined to create an enviable 50’s hourglass silhouette and it comes with a suprise!

With matching floral belt there is also another burgundy one, that matches the gorgeous floral print of May dress. It is like having two dresses in one! Great job Dolly & Dotty I am impressed again! To use both of belts I came with the idea of putting one on my hat and I love it like that, I think it connects the whole look.
As I mentioned in my last Dolly & Dotty review I love the fit of dresses, it is always perfect! Important thing to accomplish that is the fact that the belts on dresses are not embedded so I can lift or pull the belt down as I like and it has a strip so you don't have to tuck in or pin the rest of the belt.
I hope you enjoyed this walk trough forest as much as I did...

Makeup diary: Bourjouis Rouge Edition Velvet
Hello sweethearts!
Today's post is the first of this kind on my blog but I really think that my makeup skills have progressed since I started doing pin up makeup in 2012. (thank God for that) and I am finally comfortable to share some of my favorite products and tips with you.
If you are into vintage/pin up fashion, makeup is an essential part of your look, especially the red lipstick no matter what era you prefer. I don't have a habit of buying a lot of makeup or change it when I find what I like so after a handful of red lipsticks I found my Holy Grail.
First one that I got is in the shade no.1 "PERSONNE NE ROUGE". Although it is very pigmented this shade I usually apply twice for appearance of fuller lips without any pencil underneath, just a thin layer of foundation. It comes in this handy transparent bottle and shade-tinted cap.
I love that it lasts through food and drink, but it's not entirely transfer proof. If I am wearing it all day, eat and drink (I'm not a smoker) I'll probably have to touch it up a bit after eating but that's it. The velvet texture is really nice and smooth and does not dry lips if worn for a longer time, I felt it tighten only when I wore it of several consecutive days almost 18 hours a day at the festival. So if you have extremely dry lips, it can cling to dry patches- make sure to exfoliate your lips and apply a clear lip balm first.
It can be a little tacky/sticky when dried but I dont mind that.
The second shade I got is no.7 "NUDE-IST" for a more daily look at college. This lipstick,as well as others, has a very strong ‘industrial’ smell, which I find very unpleasant, but it fades a few minutes after application.
I am always looking for a nice meaty color that goes with my skin tone, this one is gorgeous and it applies in only one layer! Everything about this lipstick resembles a lipgloss, including the little foam applicator.
For a dark red I have no.8 "GRAND CRU" and this is the first one that I wasn't so happy about. It feels very poor quality in comparison with others.
It is a beautiful dark red colour but the consistency is terrible. It's hard to explain but it doesn't apply evenly no matter what I try so I have to apply it a few times to get it right so usually I wear it over a pencil. On this photo I am wearing it without any pencil underneath, just a thin layer of foundation.
No.6 "PING PONG" is my favorite pink! So vibrant and highly pigmented liquid that sets to a velvet matte finish on the lips! I love love the applicator, it is perfectly shaped to line and define the lips with good precision.
I must emphasize that these stains do not budge! This eye candy fuchsia that instantly catches your attention is one of my favorites! I also love to play with ombre look by mixing my pinks and reds, so much fun!
It delivers opaque colour in one quick sweep! I read some reviews and girls complain that it is difficult to remove, frankly I do not see the problem haha It's a good thing!
And the last one no.10 "DON'T PINK OF IT!", uh I was very hesistated to buy this one or no.4 "PEACH CLUB" but I am so happy I decided to get this! I find this shade perfect for a more 60's look! My light is very poor, sorry about that! This shade is very light powder pink.
All in all I love this lipstick and I think it has a reasonable price (90HRK/ 24$/ 9£) for a product that gives you a high-end feel, high performance and high fashion product for the high street.
For the rest of my face I used Catrice concealer, foundation and powder, Catrice brow felt pen, matte shadow palette with IQ liquid eye liner and Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. More about that next time!
Hope you like this post and that I helped if you had any questions about Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet!

obsessed and bought 4 shades more while others are on my wish list.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet are my all time favorite liquit lipsticks!
Rouge Edition Velvet by Bourjois is the new era of lipsticks. Its soft, melting texture glides on to the lips and turns into a matt, velvety and incredibly light colour.First one that I got is in the shade no.1 "PERSONNE NE ROUGE". Something to BRAG about
Hello sweethearts!
Spring is in full bloom here in Croatia and as it is typical for spring, one day it rains and the other sun is shining. It is good to have a light jacket with you, just in case :)
My stylish look has been taken care by Brag Vintage. They sent me this gorgeous purple thatched tweed blazer jacket ♥♥
Brag Vintage is a UK based vintage clothing company offering the highest quality retro clothing and accessories for men and women. They specialise in denim jackets, shirts, shorts and jeans but also offer a broad selection of individual hand picked pieces from vintage jumpers and shirts to retro dresses and skirts.
All online UK orders come with free shipping and no minimum spend. Their stock is replenished weekly in order to offer you an ongoing, fresh selection of one off vintage pieces. And if you want to see and try out some clothing you can do that in their two stores in Sheffield that are constantly expanding.
You can tell they carefully pick out and source only the highest grade clothing and describe every product in detail, so you always know exactly what you are buying! On their online shop they provide a sizing guide with photos of how they estimate sizes based on the measurements they take and where they take the measurements from! That is very helpful.
It was difficult to decide between so many beautiful pieces of jackets but after carefully choosing and consultation about size I am more than satisfied with my choice!
Lining as well as the whole blazer are very well done and beautiful! Tweed is soft and the knitting is amazing! I can think of so many styles in this because although blazer includes many colors like black, purple, blue, white, brown and fuchsia they all complement each other beautifully!

This blazer gives such a nice Jackie O vibes, don't you think? The details are amazing! I love the buttoning, especially the top one which is in fack decorative button and has a snap button from the inside. The other two buttons are real.

Cupcakes made by Milushka
Hello sweethearts!
Spring has come in Croatia so finally we can throw away our coats and enjoy the sun!
I love love love when it's warm outside because then I can emphasize all my accessories. One of my favorites are jewelry by Milushka!
Her work is very diverse, she makes braided bracelets, necklaces, earrings, head pieces, rings, pendants, fruit, candy, cupcake, animal, donuts, ice cream, flower and many more. Milushka also makes custom orders. Lately she amazes me with her Disney inspired bracelets that she makes in her own distinctive style.
In the last blog post I have mentioned them but now I have photos to show you how I styled them. In fact I wear them quite often and because of them I have a nice amounth of yellow accessories and clothes now.
We were both suprised when I saw the brooch and she saw the cardi and realized how colors are perfectly integrated. What can I say? It was meant to be ♥♥
Spring has come in Croatia so finally we can throw away our coats and enjoy the sun!
I love love love when it's warm outside because then I can emphasize all my accessories. One of my favorites are jewelry by Milushka!
Milushka is an artist from Zagreb, Croatia. She makes unique, handmade, hyper-realistic, miniature pastry jewelry. If you are not familiar with her work, check my blog post about Milushka here. Post about Milushka was one of the first on my blog last year and since then I've added more of her gorgeous jewelry to my collection.
My last Milushka blog post was about earrings and ring, custom made to match my Lady V London dress (http://midcenturysweetheart.blogspot.hr/2015/06/sweet-tooth-by-milushka.html) so this time I will introduce to you 3 new pieces handmade by Milushka. First one are my yellow cupcake earrings:
In the last blog post I have mentioned them but now I have photos to show you how I styled them. In fact I wear them quite often and because of them I have a nice amounth of yellow accessories and clothes now.
I paired them with red dress with white polka dots and red pumps, yellow scarf and belt, all from eBay. And I assure you no one can imagine my happiness when I found this cute yellow cardigan in local thrift store.
I have this earrings for over a year now and they are like new because her pieces are high quality and although they may “appear” delicate and fragile in nature, her jewelry is very solid and durable!
Next piece of Milushka jewelry is a set of earrings and matching necklace:
This romantic set is one of my favorites and I have a few dresses that fit perfectly with him like Hell Bunny Madden dress and simple single color dresses that highlight red and green. Milushka can make you dangle or stud earrings, whatever you prefer.
I still can't get over how realistic her jewelry is! Photos do not truly capture all the craftsmanship put into every detail. You know you're in love when you buy dresses that match your jewelry and not the reverse.
I find my new spring strawberry dress from eBay perfect for this set! Colors are the same and everything is so harmonized when I wear this combination.
And something new in Milushka range- brooches! Like everything that Milushka makes, her brooches are also handcrafted down to the smallest detail.
This one is custom made to match my fuchsia dress and orchid hair flower that I wear often with her. The funny thing is that we haven't discussed the color of the cup of the cupcake and while Milushka worked on the brooch I found this cardigan in thrift store.
Although Milushka is best known for her cupcakes, details of the orchid on my brooch are incredible, really there is nothing that she can't do!
Like she says: "Every piece of jewelry is handmade with love and devotion. Every piece is one of a kind. There's a part of me in each." It can emphasize the love for sweets of any hedonist and bring a touch of romance in everyday life.
These cupcakes are not for eating but are highly addicted and sweet just like the real one! And to celebrate spring Milushka offers you a 10% off if you use promo code "SPRING" on her etsy shop!
