One month update

Hello sweethearts!

I took some time late at night after work to post a lil update on my job and life right now. I miss doing collaborations and photos, but I do try to be active on Instagram. I still get e mails for collabs, so I'm sorry that I have to refuse them at the moment.

I work in a beautiful 4☆ hotel Molindrio in Poreč, Croatia as a waitress and share room with 3 girls.

A lot of new friends and a new job turned my life around and I am happy for every experience and chance I get here.

I work usually two times a day, in the morning from 8 to 12 or 2 p.m. and at evening from 6 to 10 p.m.  On my free time I hang out with my colleagues or walking and exploring nature.

In absentia

Hello sweethearts!

With sad heart I have to inform you that this is my last blog post till October...

If you follow me for some time, you know that I got my master's degree in social work in November. Unfortunately, as my diploma is acquired on University of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatian department won't give me the qualification that I need to work in the profession atm.

Of this problem I found out in January, and with all that was happening privately in my life at that time, I made a decision to find a summer job at sea. In February things began to take place very quickly...After a job interview I was invited to the 2 week professional training  (if you follow me on Instagram @eleanor_rebel you saw that I was in Poreč, Croatia in March).

Training was very successful (it included learning two foreign languages, making cocktails and coffee, sommelier training and a lot more). I was offered a job as a waitress in **** Molindrio Hotel (see HERE). So, I am leaving my home on April 9th. Still not sure when I'll be back, it depends on the success of the summer season but I suppose it would be in early October.

I will take my camera with me but given the fact that I do not own a laptop I will not be able to edit images and write blog posts 😢 That also means that I will not be able to do collaborations this summer. I sincerely apologize to everyone, this is something that was very unexpected but it is necessary.

What's in the handbag?

Hello sweethearts!

After a few weeks of absence, I finally have a new blog post for you. Arrival of spring got me all moody and wistful. Fortunately superb piece of clothing can always make me feel better. As a fan of novelty prints, I do not give up on bright colors and fun prints. So, the new collection by  Love Ur Look Clothing & Vintage gave me all the feels ♥♥

It is my second time to collab with Love Ur Look Clothing & Vintage (go to first review HERE) but I feel that owner Ronke has such an amazing sense of style and that she knows exactly, not only what dress would I like but also what would fit me.

As well as every season, a new collection delights with fun, feminine, flattering, unique, ethical and affordable dresses. For those who don't know- Love Ur Look Clothing & Vintage is ethically made in the UK and India, using upcycled fabrics and trims.

Now, I do have a love/hate relationship with wiggle dresses that depends on my self awareness and self-criticism. But this dress really makes me feel good. It does! It is beautiful, unique and comfortable.

It features short sleeves, cute round back cut and unique double neckline. Ronke’s focus on fun key points of design is evident in a collar that looks like it is sitting atop a straight bust line. Surprising design feature provides both modesty and style.

Multitude of lovely coordinated colors gives a plenty of ways to accessorise. 100% soft cotton fabric is adorned with adorable pink tulips on top of which are fun handbags in various colors. And I'm all pink lately but I can't wait to experiment with black, orange, beige and green accessories!

Sweet Katherine

Hello sweethearts!

Although we are still in winter the days are slowly getting longer and I yearn for spring. It's the perfect time to pull out colorful and warm dresses! Dolly& Dotty just released a new style of dresses excellent for this time of the year. I present to you Katherine swing dress 💗💗

If you are not familiar with Dolly& Dotty (which I doubt), they are a brand based out of Brighton in the UK which offers a huge selection of budget friendly beautiful vintage inspired pieces in UK sizes 6-24.  I adore their quality and affordability! 

Katherine dress features so many gorgeous details that I don't know where to start and which one to point out as favorite!

So I will start from the top which is elegant but seductive. V-neckline formed by chic overlaping of romantic floral fabric makes this dress ideal for spring nights.  Silhouette is emphasized with sewn in straps that I crossed and tied at the back.

 Fabric is firm but light so it beautifully falls in a gorgeous 50’s style flared skirt. Lenght is a little longer that in usual Dolly& Dotty 50's dresses so I haven't worn my petticoat underneath. This length would particularly suit tall girls. I am 5,7" and dress lenght goes a few inches below my knees.

I must point out flattering three quarter length sleeves with cute button, what a delightful detail on baby blue fabric with gorgeous roses! Royal style and pastel colors make this dress a must have in every girls closet 😍

Katherine dress in floral pattern also comes in black color. If you are not a fan of floral, there are other patterns savailable in this style.

Poodle business

Hello sweethearts!

It is middle of winter here in Croatia and I am still in love with wine red colored everything. Since fall I'm hooked on wine red clothes, accessories, shoes...and it does not seem like it is going to stop soon. My new addition to that lovely obsession is this amazing Fifi dress by Lady V London.

Fifi dress is a brand new, Limited edition to Lady V London. This style comes in several prints and in sizes 8-22. It is currently available in damask print on Lady V London site- http://ladyvlondon.com/

Fifi dress features a pencil skirt, high neckline with a peter pan collar and small capped sleeves. It is a fitted version of a Ruby flared style dress. And frankly I don't know which of these details is my favorite! I just adore the elegance and playfulness of petar pan collar. But for a woman who is self conscious about her arms I love capped sleeves that are a perfect fit since my arms were always a little thicker.

Made from a 95% polyester and 5% elastine, Fifi  has a figure hugging stretch fabric. The best thing about this fabric is that it is super resistant to wrinkling, requires a minimum of ironing and it's comfortable. If you are in between sizes I would recommend to freely size it down for best fit. 

Fifi dresses are 1950's length, starting from 44.5". I am 5'7" (170cm) tall and wear a size 12 so the dress goes right below my knees. Speaking of the 1950's, how amazing is this poodle print inspired by the most memorable symbol of 1950's Americana; the poodle skirt. Besides cute poodle silhouettes, fabric also features tiny hearts.

This dress is not lined so it's great for warmer days but also for adding layers when cold; like blazer, cardigan or faux fur jacket. Manufactured by Lady V London & made in London, when you buy from Lady Vintage range, you know that you are supporting a British Brand, a British Factory, and British Workers.

Don't save it all for Christmas Day

Holidays are just around the corner and if you have a lot to celebrate like I do then you probably want to look top notch. Next to the celebrations of Christmas and New Year, promotion of my graduation and party, having a dress that will make me feel (and look) like a million bucks was super important to me. Grace Duchess in red by Vivien of Holloway achieved exactly that!

I got my master degree in social work!



Grace Duchess dress caught my eye a while ago when I saw that gorgeous cross-over neck line on Jezebel style, but wiggle dresses aren't much my cup of tea. I really liked the glamour and sophistication of the swing Grace style.

The dress immediately reminded me of the golden age of Hollywood so I had to incorporate gold accessories into holiday look but for my promotion I went all red and it was fabulous.

This dress has a wrap top which flatters any size bust and a full circle skirt. I mean a real full skirt, not an A-line masquerading as a circle. So, if you are going for a  frothy effect petticoat is a must- the bigger the better, if you ask me.

The fabric is 100% Polyester Duchess Satin so it is heavy and luxurious, perfect for winter nights. Completed with dazzling jewelry and sparkly champagne, this dress is a show stopper at any party!

Timeless cut of Grace dress features a back zip, a nipped in waist and a modest bust. Though it seems simple and understated in its way, this dress exudes elegance and power, especially in red design.

Vivien of Holloway are famous for creating the ultimate pin up hourglass shape! As most of their dresses, this one is also designed to cinch and support and I loooove what it does to my figure.

Grace comes in lots of different colours, prints and fabrics available in sizes that cater from 24 to 38 inch waists. Vivien of Holloway also sells their full stock range online and ships internationally.

This is the most expensive Vivien of Holloway dress at £110, BUT there is definitely a reason for that. Into Grace are woven meters and meters of mesmerizing shiny fabric.

It is a very heavy and really nice quality sateen without stretch so make sure to measure yourself for best possible fit. If you’re concerned feel free to contact the customer service team with your inquiry.
